Aethelflaed the Fair, also known as Aethelflaed Eneda was a member of the House of Wessex by marriage. She was the first wife of King Edgar and the mother of King Edward the Martyr.

Aethelflaed the Fair Short Biography
Aethelflaed the Fair, also known as Aethelflaed Eneda, was the daughter of Ealdorman Ordmaer and his wife Ealda. She became the first wife of King Edgar, known as ‘The Peaceful’, around 961.
Aethelflaed and Edgar had one child, a son, Edward, born in 962. Aethelflaed died around 964 and Edgar remarried. Edward later became King but was murdered by supporters of his younger half-brother and is known to history as King Edward the Martyr.
