Malcolm II of Scotland was the son of King Kenneth II. His mother’s name is not known but it is believed she came from Ossory in Ireland. Malcolm had three daughters but no sons and so he was the last King of the House of Alpin. When he died he was succeeded by his grandson Duncan.
